Play Some Sports?
Tennis. Golf. Soccer. Baseball. And even the Olympics! For a plumber, Mario sure does have a sporty and competitive side.
So, before we go through mostly indoor activities, take some time today to play outside. Tennis is a bunch more fun if you pretend to be using power ups from Mario games, anyways.
2. Play some Mario games!
While he has gone on to have many different jobs and professions over the years, Mario will always first and foremost be a video game star. There’s no better way to celebrate Mario Day than taking a tour through some of his best adventures.
The most recent “Super Mario Odyssey” is a great place to start, or you could go all the way back to the original “Super Mario Bros.” for the NES. For the RPG fans there’s the “Paper Mario” series out there, and don’t forget about the multiplayer madness that is “Mario Kart.”
Of course, you’ll need a TV for most of these adventures-- that’s where we come in. You don’t want to be stomping on goombas and collecting stars on an old and outdated TV, do you? Of course not.
3. Drive Around and Throw Bananas At Cars
Well. I mean, this one would probably be a lot of fun, but it also might get you in a lot of trouble. Proceed at your own caution.
4. Throw a (Mario) Party
Mario is no stranger to parties -- how many “Mario Party” games have there even been at this point -- so throwing a Mario themed party is a festive way to kick off the celebration of Mario Day.
And not only that, but a party is a great time to show off your new electronics to all of your friends -- whether it's a TV, sound system, or even just your record player.
5. Get Creative
Mario has always been an outlet for creativity, whether it’s going all the way back to the “Mario Paint” days or the imaginative worlds he goes through in “Super Mario Galaxy.”
This Mario Day, take a page from his book: Create your own adventure. Maybe it means spending some time writing down that short story you’ve always meant to do, getting started on that drawing, or recording that melody you keep humming to yourself. Maybe you want to start working on the next great video game. Whatever it is, take that step toward being super and do it!
Whatever your choice, Mario would be proud of you. And probably Luigi, too.
Whether it’s searching castles for princesses, eating mushrooms, or collecting stars, there’s a ton of ways you can make sure to have fun this Mario Day.
And just because the Switch can be portable, doesn’t mean you don’t need a nice TV to dock it with at home. Give us a call or stop by today, and we’ll be glad to help you find a TV perfect for all those late night gaming sessions.
